Congress Passes COVID-19 Recovery Plan
On March 10, the House passed a $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill on a largely party line vote of 220-211 less than a week after the Senate passed the measure on a 50-49 party-line vote in a Saturday session. President Biden signed the bill into law on March 11.
The package is one of the largest in U.S. history and includes billions of dollars designated for a variety of uses, including aid to state and local governments; funding to expand testing and contact tracing; and for vaccine distribution.
