We are coming up on spring flooding season, followed by hurricane season.
April 6, 2020

As if the COVID-19 crisis was not enough to contend with, we are coming up on spring flooding season, followed by hurricane season. With the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season set to being in two months, AccuWeather meteorologists say there could be 14 to 18 tropical storms. Seven to nine are forecast to become hurricanes, and two to four are predicted to strengthen into major hurricanes.

Forecasters are anticipating another busy year for the Atlantic Basin in 2020, on the heels of an active 2019 season. The 2019 season marked the fourth consecutive year of above-average activity in the basin and was tied with 1969 for the fourth most-active hurricane season on record.
